Welcome to Gt Broughton & Kirby Sports Club Bridge Section. The Bridge section has been running at the sports club for many years and continues to thrive. The focus is on friendly yet competitive duplicate bridge. Most people play standard ACOL so it is easy to play with new partners.

The club plays duplicate sessions every Thursday during the winter months from the first week in September to Easter the following year and stops for the summer months.

On Thursday evenings we play from 7pm to 10pm and typically have 5 to 7 tables. The number of hands played varies with the format but is usually between 18 and 24 hands. The results are published the following day and distributed by email.

Throughout 2023 we have run improver sessions on a Monday afternoon to help rusty bridge players get back into action. Depending on the demand we may continue something like this in 2024.
